Carl H. Young

Founding Member

Carl H. Young, III is a Managing Director and a founding member of Bridge Associates, LLC. Mr. Young has over 35 years of professional experience. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, human resource management, corporate legal and operations management.

Currently Mr. Young heads Bridge's engagement with Three Five Systems, Inc. ("TFS"), a manufacturer of liquid crystal displays and other consumer market electronic components. Mr. Young managed the operational and financial turnaround and eventual sale of the organization.  A critical part of this process was shepherding the sale of overseas operations in Penang, Malaysia and Beijing, China and interfacing with local Ministry of Finance officials in both counrties charged with overseeing operations of foreign controlled companies.  As a result, TFS has emerged from bankruptcy; with a Bridge professional serving as president of the Reorganized Debtor and is leading the company’s final wind-down activities that will likely result in a return to shareholders.

Recently, Mr. Young led the Bridge Financial and Operational Restructuring Team for International Garment Processors, Inc. (“IGP”), a large denim finishing processor for major jean retailers, located in El Paso, Texas and Mexico. IGP employs 2,500 people and has annual revenues of approximately $30 million.  With Bridge’s help, IGP was able to restructure out of court via operational improvements and a recapitalization process.
