David N. Phelps has been named Director at Bridge Associates

David Phelps has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and structuring of financial transactions. Throughout his career, he has been involved with all aspects of management including sales, financial management, human resources and strategic planning. He joined Bridge, LLC as a principal in 2002.

Mr. Phelps currently heads Bridge's restructuring team at Torch Offshore, Inc., a Louisiana company operating a fleet of shallow and deep water pipelaying ships and barges. He is Torch's Chief Restructuring officer. In addition he co-heads the Bridge team providing advisory services to International Wire Group's Insulated Wire Division. Recent Bridge engagements include providing M&A support to Bridge's crisis management and bankruptcy advisory team at Wickes, Inc.; co-heading Bridge's bankruptcy advisory team at Conseco Finance Corporation (CFC) during its bankruptcy and spearheading Bridge's post confirmation Plan Administrative role and serving on the crisis management and bankruptcy team supporting the Bankruptcy Administrative Officer at Brill Media Company, LLC.

Prior to joining Bridge, Mr. Phelps served as Chief Financial Officer of TransCom USA, and worked closely with the Bridge team that guided TransCom through its Chapter 11 bankruptcy. He was also the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Phelps Holding, Inc., a group of privately owned companies in specialty distribution of transportation components, real-estate, manufacturing and truck equipment sales and installation.

Mr. Phelps holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and is a Certified Public Account licensed in the State of Indiana.
